We've also seen numerous deals signed and I'm now finding it's time mut coins madden 23 to discuss the Jacksonville Jaguars. Since I've started this blog, I've been trying to explain how I feel about their day. On one hand I'm sure the Jags were the team with the highest amount of money in free agency and it was beyond time to ease the purse strings and acquire some players however, on the other hand, they stumbled into Monday like an sailor taking shore leave and spent nearly $50 million in caps to sign or to re-sign six players.
I don't really know how I feel about this. It's been rolling around in my head all through the day. On one hand, I am awed by this group of players, and I know they'll make the Jaguars better However, on the other hand I would like to see Jacksonville could spread the love even more to make more changes to their lineups.
The major criticism is likely to be Christian Kirk, I get that. The contract is partially an enormous leap of faith that he can become the most prominent No. 1 receiver. It also implies that a team with a record as poor as Jacksonville is forced to pay more than necessary for big-name free agent. The deal is fair and shouldn't affect the team in the long run if the gamble doesn't pay off.
My concern that has been a problem with Jaguars free-agents in the past and present, is that they opted for the approach of quality over quantity when this franchise really needs quantity. The problem isn't Kirk but it's Kirk and Scherff as well as Olukun AND Fatukasi. That has left the Jaguars with roughly $10M in area (give an amount). I really would have preferred for the team to aim at two of these prospects, and try to pick one or two players for the same cost as the rest.
In many ways this feels as if it's free agency in 2017. which isn't a good thing. The Jaguars invested heavily in the area too, signing Calais Campbell, A.J. Bouye, Barry Church and traded for Branden Albert. At the time they were seen as "big big winners" even though it took them from 3-13 to 10-6 , in the blink of an eye but they crashed down to earth because they weren't able to get the depth.
My hope is that this doesn't happen again, I'd just like to see that when the Jaguars have worked hard to buy madden nfl 23 coins gain this type of cap space , they wouldn't get so out of control like they're just two pieces away from competing, rather than a cellar dweller needing to slowly build up their success. It's hard to say whether Jacksonville could be the winner or even a winner -- more that I'm just nervous.
